Amrita Park Meadery - Kin Kin

Stop a while to explore Kin Kin – an Indigenous word for a small black ant common to the area.

Tucked away in the rolling hills surrounding the town are sustainable farms, artisans, artists and accommodation offering everything from bespoke sustainable luxury stays to wellness retreats.  Paddock to plate food is available in the village as well as locally made products and arts.

Kin Kin is steeped in history with many historic buildings still in the town, including the Memorial School of Arts, the State School and the Country Life Hotel which has historic memorabilia throughout.

If you have time, experience the natural beauty of the area by taking the 14km Countryside Loop of the Noosa Trail Network.  This trail is ideal for bird watching, walking, mountain biking and for horse riders with yards and camping available at the Sports Grounds.  Also accessible is the 11km Cooroy Wanderer trail to Cooroy, and the 25km Scenic Trail to Cooran.

For a shorter nature experience, visit the Arboretum where you can explore over 70 varieties of trees each with a QR code to provide you with both the botanic and common name.    The Dogrell Forest Trail, just off Gympie Kin Kin Road offers another short walk with its towering trees on a 600m loop through Toolara State Forest.
